Hangin’ out Friday night, a fire down the lake.
We sang each other songs..and made each other tapes.
Listenin’ with your head down and holdin’ back a grin,
You just looked up and said” I can’t wait until you win!”

And that’s the best thing I ever heard..
And it sounded absurd.
But I was weightless for a day.
And that’s all you had to say.

Out behind The Causeway, my back against the wall. 
I said “We can’t catch a break or we keep droppin’ the ball.”
You said “ I think we’ve caught a groove, man, and the beat outweighs the burn. 
I know we’re next in line and we’re gonna get our turn!”

And it sounded absurd.

“You gotta reach for the sky!”
So we reached for the sky.

So we shot for the moon.

Burned out on a Sunday
